On May 21st, 2023, Monica and Dirk met during a walking tour in Budapest. What started as a simple question about a tattoo became a story no one could have predicted.

Two travelers from different countries, connected by curiosity, laughter, and an unexpected spark. What followed was a love that crossed borders, oceans, and time zones.

From America to Europe.
From Japan to Iceland.
From mountains to seas.

Together, they discovered not only the world, but each other’s cultures, families, and dreams. Every journey brought them closer, proving again and again that this was not coincidence — but destiny.

In Greece, high on a mountain overlooking the deep blue sea, Dirk asked the question that united everything. Monica answered with a confident yes.
